Robert S. Godsey of Collinsville, Texas, caught and held a large and vicious mad dog which was pursuing school children. Notwithstanding his legs and arms were frightfully lacerated, he held the raging beast until help arrived and the dog was killed.
The splendid, heroic and self-sacrificing fellow was then hurried away to Pasteur Institute at Austin. May the Lord preserve him, and may his kind perish not while the earth remains.
