Friday, April 24, 1908 GRAYSON COUNTY Collinsville, Texas, April 21 -The Collinsville Odd Fellows initiated 3 candidates for the Tioga lodge at Tioga. Miss Alice Dalton was here on a visit last week. Will Ragsdale and Harry Gibson have accepted positions as linemen on the Sherman-Dallas Interurban. Allen Williams left Tuesday for Denison to work at the painter's trade. J.W. Dishman has sold the old Vannoy stock of goods to B.F. Linton who moved the stock to Ector. Mrs. W.D. Petty died Friday. She left a husband, 2 daughters and 5 sons. Mrs. Brooks and children of Pickering, Louisiana, came in this week to see her sister, Miss Maude Collier, graduate. John Stroud was at Denton Monday on legal business. Capt. Jno. S. Dickey was a visitor at Whitesboro Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Thomason of Kellar visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Thomason, Monday. Senator Harbison returned Sunday from Arkansas, where he attended the funeral of his mother. Rev. D.S. Smith of Sherman is to being a series of revival services at the Baptist Church here, beginning Saturday night, to last some 10 days. Mayor Faulkner visited in Gainesville Monday. Dr. S.G. Bumbarger, who has been in New Mexico, is home for a short visit. S.C. Neathery went to Sherman Monday to serve on the jury. D.O. Brown brought in half grown samples of his Early Wheeler peaches Monday. Mrs. H.T. Dunaway is visiting her son, W.T. McDonald at San Jose, California. J.O. Stroud, a member of the Grand Jury, returned to his duties Monday. Mrs. J.D. Stroud is visiting her sister, Mrs. Will Swarts, in Sherman. Zeb Spearman, editor of the Whitesboro Sun, spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.M. Spearman. Mrs. J.L. Wilson returned today from the beside of her sister, Mrs. S.N.
