Friday, January 31, 1941 pg. 1 CELTIC NEWS By Miss Birdie Sollis Fred Welch visited his sister Mrs. Sam Strong this week. Mrs. Monta Smith and Mrs. G.W. Holloway were in Howe Monday. Henry Baxter is ill with the flu. Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Francis had as guests Sunday Mr. and Mrs. A.K. Hollingsworth of Sherman and Mr. and Mrs. Jess Hollingsworth of Denison. Floyd Smith is reported ill. Mrs. G.W. Johnson visited Mrs. J.E. Thomas in Dallas Monday. Birdie Sollis was in Howe Tuesday visiting Mrs. Russell W. Bryant. John Tate of Tom Bean visited Alda Bell Francis Friday. Joanell and Dean McDaniel are up after serveral days illness. Mrs. Jewell Morrison visited Mrs. Henry Taylor in Howe Tuesday. M.G. Bush is to spend the next several weeks at Tioga where he is taking the baths. He is residing at the Bradley cottage while here. Eva Lois Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Davis, broke her arm in a fall at school Wednesday. Mrs. Walter Edwards of Abilene and Mrs. Orvile Walker of Sherman visited Mrs. Fred Davis and friends here Wednesday. Mrs. Edwards is a sister of Mr. Davis. Miss Mary Catherine Chumbley returned Wednesday night from Denton where she has been visiting friends. S.L. Ricketts is reported fighting a case of the flu this week.
