Friday, July 20, 1906 pg. 6 GRAYSON COUNTY Cedar Mills, Tex., July 16 - The rains during the past week have been a blessing to the people of this section of the country. We are now sure of a good corn crop. Cotton is looking fine. Grass has revived and is all we can expect of it. There will be no fruit of any note in this part of the county. Blackberries are a failure in this vicinity too. Health in our vicinity is very good. Rev. Martin Short of Basin Springs is holding a series of meetings this week for the Baptists in Cedar Mills. Allen Gudgel, Jr. visited his brother, Lawrence, near Denison last week. Mrs. Dearing and daughter, Miss Lillian of Denison are visiting Mrs. S.E. Noel of Cedar Mills. Joseph McNight was quite sick last week, but is now out again. W.W. Crain, Jr. was in Whitesboro on business Saturday. W.A. Ivey had the misfortune to lose a fine mule last week.
