CEDAR MILLS
...is situated in the timber about 3-1/2 miles from Red River. The elevated location of the place renders it desirable on account of health and good water.
There is also a fine mill at this place, which is now undergoing repairs in the way of adding new machinery, burrs, etc.
Messrs. Raines and Young, two handsome young bachelors, do the honors as the leading merchants of the place. They keep a well selected stock of general merchandise, and are very popular with all, especially the ladies. From what we can learn the younger member of the firm will soon assume the reins in the matrimonial line; we presume it will result in a Cole-Younger affair.
