Canaan News
G.C. Woods and Tom Bigbee and children of Van Alstyne were visitors in the home of Cleave Woods Tuesday.
Mrs. Browder Webster and Mrs. W.L. Martin were Sherman visitors Tuesday.
Miss Gerline Hopper spent the week-end with her sister, Mrs. Jim Williams, of Whitewright.
Miss Dolly Marlow spent the week-end with her sister, Mrs. C.F.  Haliburton, of near Whitewright.
Vernon Gordon of Sherman spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Gordon.
Wade Smith and family of  Dallas spent Sunday here visiting his sister, Mrs. John Smith.
Rev. Little, father of Rev. Charles Little, pastor of the Presbyterian Church here, preached at the morning hour Sunday.   There were no services Sunday   night on account of Illness of the pastor.
Sunday school was well attended Sunday.  Everybody  be sure and come next Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. S.R. McKinney of Seagoville visited her sister, Mrs. Browder Webster, Wednesday of last week.
J.E. Smith and daughters, Misses Marcelle and Lila, were Sherman visitors Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Gordon and Mrs. C.D. Alverson visited Mrs. Alverson's sister, Mrs. L.R. Wallace, Monday.  She recently underwent an operation for appendicitis.
Haskel Smith and little so n, Gene, spent Thursday with Mrs. Haskel Smith at San Angelo.
J.W. Gordon and Miss Mildred Smith attended singing at Hebron Sunday.
R.F. Broyles of Irvin  [sic] is visiting her daughter, Mrs. W.L. Martin.
Frank Whitworth spent Tuesday near Pilot Grove visiting Horace Lewis, who is seriously ill of pneumonia.
