CANAAN NEWS
Since the weather has been favorable to work, the farmers are about to get through with their crops.
The singing was well attended Sunday night, and everyone reported an enjoyable time.
The revivial meeting will begin Sunday, July 22. We are expecting large attendance and good services. All are invicted to come.
Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Smith of Electra and daughter, Mrs. W.E. Jordan of Vernon; Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Smith of Electra, Opal Smith of Vernon, Mr. and Mrs. Clay Hansard of Dallas; and Mrs. T.L. Hansard of Whitewright spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. John Smith.
Miss Lena Nelms spent the week-end with her sister, Mrs. N.E. Skaggs of Whitewright.
Mr. and Mrs. Charley Mitchell of near Tom Bean spent the week-end in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Marlow and Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Hopper.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Marlow spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. G.C. Marlow.
Miss Ina Belle Chadwell spent the week-end with Miss Lois Cates at Whitewright.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Haliburton spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Haliburton.
J.E. Smith and son Hascal and daughters, Lila Mae and Gladys, attended the singing at Savoy Sunday evening.
Little Miss Ella Hopper is spending the week with her sister, Mrs. Charley Mitchell of near Tom Bean.
Tom Ayers is visiting relatives in Dallas.

Mrs. Jim Ayers has returned from Dallas where she had been visiting relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Dodson visited Mr. and Mrs. Charley Burk Sunday at Ida.
