CANAAN - EVERHEART
January 3  -  This community has been turned into a hospital the last two weeks.  A large number have been sick.  We hope the present favorable weather will continue for the above stated reason if nothing else.
Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Alverson have been seriously ill for some time.
Mrs. J.D. Garner and son, Fayette, have recovered from a siege of grip.
Mrs. A.I. Bowles has been sick for several weeks.
Chester Rutledge returned Wednesday after spending the holidays with relatives at Venice.
Mrs. F.E. Alverson and children spent Thursday with Joe Dan McMillin and family.
Cleve Wilson visited Joe Beasley Sunday.
Mr. Dodson and family have recently moved to this community from Tom Bean.
Mr. Eden and family of near Leonard visited A.C. Keeling and family first of the week.
T.F. Coffman is moving to this community from town.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Alexander visited Mr. and Mrs. Hardcastle at Kentuckytown.

After several weeks confinement people are enjoying glorious sunshiny weather once more, and we feel that it is good.  Farmers are taking opportunity of same by breaking their ground for the next crop.
Misses Lorene and Inez McMillian and Miss Mollie Everheart spent Sunday with Mrs. Homer Sears.
Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Garner visited relatives at Orangeville Sunday.
C.D. McMillin happened to a painful accident Sunday by running into a barbed wire fence.  A physician was summoned and dressed the wounds.  He is getting along nicely.
Lafayette Garner visited in the Little Rock community last week.
Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Alverson visited J.D. McMillin and family first of the week.
