Canaan-Everheart
The revival meeting is still in progress and much interest is being manifested.
Cotton is opening fast and people will soon be gathering same.
Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Butler and Mrs. J.M. Everheart and son, Eugene, of Kerrville are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Everheart.
Lynwood and Ewell Garner are visiting their cousin, Hollis Garner, and other relatives at Paris.
Mrs. A.I. Bowles is having one of her houses treated with a new coat of paint.  Mrs. Bowles is a "Tip-Top" business woman and sees that her farms and houses are kept in good condition.
Homer Sears has a new 18 36 horse power tractor.   Homer is one of our best farmers and believes that to be a successful farmer one must be thoroughly equipped with good tools.
Miss Mollie Everheart had as her guest Sunday Misses Smith of Bells, Velma Kirkpatrick and Neva McMurry of Whitewright.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Ferguson of Ivanhoe are guests of relatives here.
W.L. White and J.D. Garner were Sherman visitors Tuesday.
Miss  Zora Perry returned to Dodd City Wednesday after a 10 days visit with friends here.
Frank Lamb and family of Savoy are guests of relatives and friends here.
Honoring her friend, Miss Gladys Garner, of Ada, Oklahoma, Miss Bertha Cox entertained on Thursday evening the following guests: Misses Mable Everheart, Gladys Garner and Messrs George and Lafayette Garner, Claude and Glendon Cox.  Delicious refreshments of watermelon, peaches and ice cream were served.
