Friday, November 19, 1915 pg. 2 CANAAN - EVERHEART NEWS Winter made her first appearance on Saturday in the form of a cold norther and rain, followed by a heavy frost Sunday night. The latter was a complete success as the appearance of surroundings indicate. Rev. Buck will fill his appointment here Sunday morning. Other services at the usual hour. Fourteen bales of cotton came to Bells Friday from Oklahoma, of which 9 came to Canaan for better prices. Miss Osa Taylor is on the sick list. C.D. Alverson was in Bells Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Fitz Bryant spent Thursday night with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Everheart. Misses Delia Moore and Hazel Benedict of town returned home Wednesday after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Bryant King. Rev. W.A. Kirkpatrick of town spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Alverson. Wm. Bowles has returned to his home at Comanche, Oklahoma after a visit with relatives here. Walter Mullins and sister, Miss Pearl, are visiting relatives in Oklahoma. Geo. Garner spent Tuesday night with Tom and Frank Hicks. Jim Reneau visited relatives near town first of the week. Miss Laura Garner spent several days last week with Fannie and Minnie Murphy of the Little Rock community. Cecil Cameron was a visitor in this community Sunday.
