CANAAN-EVERHEART NEWS
Such lovely autumn weather which has been so beneficial and delightful on we farmers and the opportunity of "gathering the harvest while the sun shines."  Doest thou thank Him who giveth all this?  All join in the chorus - our Father, we thank thee.
The bountiful corn crop and the cotton crop is almost gathered.  The wheat crop is looking well.
The attendance at the religious services here  is much more encouraging, and the school is progressing nicely.
Melvin Lankford and Lafayette Garner are visiting at Honey Grove.
C.D. Alverson attended the W.O.W. unveiling at Bethel Sunday.
Misses Maude and Ruth Biggerstaff of town visited in this community Sunday.
Miss Eliza and Maggie Hicks and Lon Kelsay visited Miss Laura Garner Thursday.
F.E. Alverson and family and Geo. garner motored to Pilot Grove Sunday and were guests of O.J. Neathery and family.
Mrs. J.R. Murphy of the Little Rock community spent several days with Mrs. J.D. Garner.
L.E. Garner and family visited at Ely Sunday.
Willie Bowles of Comanche, Oklahoma, is visiting his mother, Mrs. A.I. Bowles.
Geo.  McCurdy has moved back to this community.
Miss Maggie Hicks spent Sunday with Miss Pearl Mullins.
Mrs. C.D. Alverson and Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Blanton visited Mr. and Mrs. McCoy at Kentuckytown Sunday.
