CANAAN - EVERHEART NEWS
Some awful hot weather, but it's what we need for cotton, so we will not complain.  Crop conditions are very encouraging at present.
Rev. W.A. Kirkpatrick filled his appointment here Sunday.
The Methodist-Presbyterian joint revival will begin August 1.
Miss Ethel Cox is recovering from a siege of typhoid fever.
Mrs. W.W. Alverson and children are visiting Joe Dan McMillan and family.
F.E. Alverson and family, Mrs. W.W. Alverson and children spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Alverson.
Misses Lucy and Lizzie Burris of near Ector spent Sunday with Miss Laura Garner.
John and Robert Everheart spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Homer Sears.
Earl Hill of Tom Bean visited here Sunday.
R.L. Nelson was in Sherman Monday.
Mrs. A.L. Bowles spent the week with Mrs. F.E. Alverson. 
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mills entertained quite a number of the young people Saturday night.  Progressive conversation was the form of entertainment.  Refreshments of peach ice cream and cake were served.
