Friday, August 13, 1915 pg. 3 CANAAN - EVERHEART A good rain fell here Monday night which was needed and will be beneficial to crops. The revival meeting closed Tuesday with nine conversions and several additions to the churches. W.L. White returned home Saturday from West Texas where he has been buying grain. Miss Mabel Keeling is confined to her room of typhoid fever. Mrs. E.C. Harris and daughter, Lee Mae, of town spent Sunday with F.E. Alverson and family. Little Misses Gae and Mae Marshall returned home Tuesday, after a week's visit with their cousin, Miss Mabel Everheart. Miss May Hicks is the guest of Mrs. Jim Mullins. Arley Dishman of Pink Hill visited his cousin, Robert Moody, last week. Miss Maggie Tumlin is visiting Mrs. T.O. May at Enterprise. C.B. Alexander and family and Miss Eva Harris were Sunday guests of J.H. Cox and family. Miss Ethel Cox has resumed her work at the telephone exchange in town. Dee Little visited his sister, Mrs. Fitz Bryant, first of this week. Charley Bryant of town spent Monday and Tuesday with his sister, Mrs. Floyd Everheart. Misses Kugga Blanton, Roma Harris, Esther Taylor, Mrs. Geo. McCauley and Mr. Chas. Buck of Bells were guests of J.D. Garner and family Monday. J.E. Rutledge was in South Texas last week looking after his farming interests. Rev. R.P. Buck, Rev. W.A. Kirkpatrick and T.P. Wells were Sunday guests of Chas. Fulton. Miss Eva Harris of Whitewright spent the week with Miss Mabel Everheart. Miss Nell Keeling returned home Friday from a two weeks visit with relatives at Cooper. Miss Mollie Everheart spent Monday with Mrs. H.H. Sears. Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Alverson entertained quite a number of their friends on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. J.D.
