CANAAN CULLINGS
Nov. 11 - Rev. W.A. Kirkpatrick of town filled his regular appointment here Sunday A.M., and was the guest of W.L. White and family.
Farmers are just about through picking cotton and are busy preparing the land for the next crop.  Wheat was benefitted by the rain on Sunday.
Miss Susie C. Wells received the appointment as postmistress at Bells post office.  Miss Wells is well qualified for the position and we wish to congratulate her on the same.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ford of Elm Grove visited R.L. Nelson and family Sunday evening.
Miss Mabel Everheart was in Trenton last week to attend the funeral of her cousin, Gladys Marshall.
Mr. and Mrs. Homer Sears were in town Monday night.
Miss Susie Wells was a business visitor to Sherman Monday.
Geo. Garner spent Saturday night and Sunday with Ira Kirkpatrick and other friends in Whitewright.
Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Williams of Bonham were visitors in this community Saturday and Sunday.
Miss Hattie Taylor, who has diphtheria, is much improved at this writing.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Coffman and Will Coffman and family spent Saturday and Sunday near Tom Bean.
Miss Laura Bell Garner entertained on Saturday evening the following guests: Misses Ruth and Bessie Biggerstaff, Lois Spindle, Mabel Everheart, and Geo. Garner and Ira Kirkpatrick.
Miss Myrtle Slaten of Sherman visited relatives here first of the week.
Roy Coffman is suffering with a broken arm, caused by falling out of a wagon.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Morgan of Van Alstyne visited W.O. Morgan and family last week.
