Thursday, October 12, 1933 pg. 4 BETHEL NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Denton, Ben Denton and daughter, Bennie Faye, and Mrs. Easter Hansard of Sherman visited in the home of J.L. Denton Sunday. Miss Vera Holland, who is teacing school at Shannon, spent the week-end with homefolks. Miss Margaret Lowry of Windom has resumed her work as Principal of Bethel School. The infant of Mr. and Mrs. Fields was buried at the Bethel Cemetery Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Margaret Garner is visiting relatives at Shady Grove. Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Denton and Mrs. George Jarvis and sons, Elvin Paul and John L., were Sherman visitors Sunday. Miss Mary Scoggins of the Pilot Grove community was a Bethel visitor during the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Terrell Cowart and Clemmer and Margaret Coggins were Sherman visitors Saturday. The Bethel Sunday School enjoyed an outing Sunday. After Sunday school the members and several visitors went to the Leonard park and enjoyed a nice lunch. After lunch, games were played and a good time was had by all. The following from here attended the Sherman Fair: Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Jones and family; Loyd Alexander, Buddy Stephens, Wesley and Albert Reeves, J.P. Williams, Eloise and Estelle Murphy, Laura Jo Williams and Manuel Alexander. Mallie Joe Denton of Sherman spent the week-end with relatives here. E.R. Alexander and son, Joe, left for Slaton Saturday. Miss Marcelle Smith of the Canaan community and Mr. Robert Alexander of this community were united in marriage at the home of Rev. C.C.
