We see by the Courier that J. Pattie has been elected by the commissioner's court, to superintend the poor farm, he being the lowest bidder, taking the charge at $500. I.S. Daggie was the next best bidder at $600. We suppose Col. Pattie will now withdraw as a candidate for Representative. He could not well attend to the duties of this position and go to Austin at the same time.
