Charles Cordette, a consumptive who has been an inmate  of the poor farm for a long time, died at that institute last night.  It is  understood that the poor fellow had weel to do relatives in this county, but rather than lived at their expense he came to the home prepared by the county.  He was buried there t oday.  May his ashes ever rest

James Cordett [sic], a resident at the Poor Farm, died Saturday of consumption.

Editor's Note: Charles Cordette is buried in the Vaden Cemetery.
