"Naples, Tex., April 27, - (Special.) - A serious shooting occurred near this place Saturday night, in which Vista McCoy, I. P. Forsyth and an escaped convict of Fannin county named Andy Waitman were wounded. Constable Singletary received notice from the Sheriff of Fannin county to look out for Waitman. He was located at McLean's sawmill, near this place, where he was working, and last night a posse started to arrest him." -- Fort Worth Gazette.
