gang, have infested the Chickasaw nation, and hundreds of times have members of
the gang been pursued by irate citizens with the evident intention of giving
them a rope benefit." Fort Worth Daily
Gazette. (Fort Worth, Tex.) Vol. 13, No. 327, Ed. 1, September 3, 1889.
"Mr. William H. Waitman, residing at 800 West Walker street, died Tuesday after an illness of several years. Mr. Waitman moved into Denison from his old homestead, east of the city five miles, some six or seven years ago, and has been making the city his home since that time. He, with his former wife and family, came to Texas from Missouri just after the close of the war. He and his wife could not agree and a divorce was procured. Mrs. Waitman returned north and Mr. Waitman came to Denison and married again." The Sunday Gazetteer. (Denison, Tex.), Vol. 12, No. 35, Ed. 1 Sunday, December 24, 1893.
