Constable Mixon had a big tussle with Heeman McCarthy, a member of the old Waitman gang, while attempting to arrest him at his castle hall, east of the city, today. Mixon was compelled to use the butt of his revolver pretty freely in subduing Heeman, and that warlike namesake of a distinguished prize fighter looks now like he had been through the Crimean war. McCarthy is wanted immediately for threatening the life of Will ("Wild Bill") McDonald, but it is stated that he is also in demand over at Paris for robbing a house in that city.
