Anson Winston Jones

Anson Winston Jones, b May 16, 1914 at Mooreville, d January 3,1986, was a son of Anson Jones I and Zela V. (Albright) Jones. In 1936, he married Katherine Hodges, b July 28, 1916 in Lott, Falls County, Texas - a daughter of Frank L. and Beatrice (McCoy) Hodges.

Anson Winston and Katherine (Hodges) Jones had three children:

Katherine Ann Jones, b January 20,1938 in Marlin, married in 1960 in Waco to James Wayne Phelps, b November 8,1933 in Chilton, Falls County, Texas-a son of Bunhard B. and Yay (Crosby) Phelps. James Wayne and Katherine Ann Phelps had two sons: James Mark Phelps, b November 3, 1963 in Marlin, married September 20, 1985 to Ronnie Ann Sanders; and David Winston Phelps, b January 4,1966 in Waco, married August 10, 1985 to Shelly Taylor.

Mary Jane Jones, b May 8, 1941 in Marlin, married in 1977 to Carroll Lainey Huber, b January 11, 1940 - son of W. E. and Josephine (Hinze) Huber. Carroll Lainey and Mary Jane Huber have one son: Matthew Carroll Huber, b January 5, 1982 in Dallas, Texas.

Anson Winston Jones, Jr., b January 18, 1944 in Marlin, married February 2, 1968 in Cego, Falls County, Texas to Shirley Herrington, b February 2, 1948 in Marlin - a daughter of Ervin and Pearl (Bowen) Herrington. Anson Winston, Jr. and Shirley have one son, James Winston Jones, b September 17, 1973 in Waco, McLennan County, Texas.
