Ernest Fred Henkel
Ernest Fred Henkel, b February 6, 1889 in Washington County, Texas, d February 28,1971 in Rosebud Hospital, and buried in the Cottonwood Cemetery in Falls County, Texas - was a son of William and Fredricka (Herish) Henkel. He was married on June 20, 1920 at Mooreville, Texas to Emma Schwank, b December 24, 1892, d March 9, 1965 - a daughter of Charles M. and AlvinaCGummelt) Schwank.Ernest and Emma lived at Mooreville all their married lives, where they farmed and reared one child:
Rowena Mae Henkel, b January 14, 1927 at Mooreville - married on February 11, 1949 to L. L. Lippert.
Ernest Fred Henkel served with the 38th Engineers in France during World War I. In addition to farming, Ernest was also a barber at Mooreville.
