Ennis V. Degrate, Jr.

Ennis V. Degrate, Jr., b April 2,1946 in Golinda, Falls County, Texas - was a son of Ennis V. Degrate, Sr., b September 27, 1922 in McLennan County, and Eula C. (Evans) Degrate, b February 2, 1924 in Falls County.

Ennis married Vera Lee Brandon, b July 12, 1949 at Satin, Texas - a daughter of Reverend James Bran- don, b March 28, 1932 at Satin in Falls County and Admonia Lampkin (deceased).

Ennis has been employed by A. C. Parsons Dry- wall and Insulation Company in Golinda for twenty- two years, and is now a Drywall Manager. He is a Neighborhood Watch Coordinator at Golinda, a Volunteer Fireman, a City Council member, and a graduate of Dale Carnegie. Ennis has been a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Satin since 1975, and was ordained a Deacon of the Church on July 3,1977.

Vera moved to Seattle, Washington in 1969 for several years, where she attended Seattle Community College and worked as a pre-schoolteacher, secretary - receptionist, office shipping clerk, bookkeeper at Paschall Laboratories, and administrative assistant of a Drug Treatment Facility. Since returning to Texas in 1986, she has worked as a store clerk at A. C. Parsons in Golinda. Vera joined the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Satin at the age of twelve years, restoring her membership in May 1986. She is a member of the Eastern Star - Lillie Esther Chapter 324.

Ennis V. and Vera Lee (Brandon) Degrate, Jr.'s family includes five children:

Deidra Y. Brandon, b November 21,1971 in Seattle, King County, Washington.

All of the Degrate family reside in Falls County, Texas.
