William Patrick Brusenhan
William Patrick Brusenhan, b ca 1820 in Ireland, died near Mooreville, Falls County, Texas - was married ca 1858 to Kezziah Murphy (called "Kate"), b ca 1840 in Mississippi, d July 26, 1911 at Chilton, Falls County, Texas. In the 1850's, William Patrick had immigrated to Tishomingo County, Mississippi from Kerry County, Ireland.In March 1862, William enlisted in the Confederate States Army, serving in the Civil War until May 1865. In the late 1870's, William and Kezziah came to Falls County with eight children, and the ninth child born in the Mooreville area of Falls County.

Patrick Brusenhan, b January 14, 1859 in Mississippi, d July 6, 1886 and buried at Mooreville Cemetery - married Laura L. Livingston - daughter of J. H. Livingston, b June 3, 1827, d March 3, 1917 at Mooreville. Laura L. (Livingston) Brusenhan married second to Joel W. Roberts, of the Stranger Community.
Anna Brusenhan, b Ca 1860 - married September 2, 1878 in Falls County, Texas to L. J. Livingston.
Bettie J. Brusenhan, b 1862 in Mississippi - married in Falls County, Texas on December 27, 1880 to J. R. Shelton.
Mary Elizabeth Brusenhan, b 1866 in Mississippi - married in Falls County, Texas on July 18, 1883 to G. W. Blagg.
William Brusenhan, b 1867 in Mississippi - no further information.
Robert Brusenhan, b ca 1871 in Mississippi - no information.

Luella Brusenhan, b ca 1874 in Mississippi - married in Falls County, Texas on September 12, 1892 to James Campbell King - a son of William R. King, of Alabama, who came to Brazos County, Texas in 1839 and married in 1851 to Elizabeth Bowman. The King family moved to Mooreville by 1880. James and Luella King farmed at Chilton, Texas, where five children were born: Arthur Lee King, Mamie King, Willie King; Essie King, b 1899, d 1900; and Clyde King, b 1901. The family moved to Coleman County, Texas in 1904.
Thomas L. Brusenhan, b February 22, 1880 in Falls County, Texas, d September 12, 1950 and buried in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin - married first on November 28, 1898 in Falls County, Texas to Pearl L. Gray, b July 16, 1882, d December 29, 1900 in Mooreville - a daughter of E. A. and Susan Gray. They had one son, Patrick Brusenhan, b ca 1900, d 1986 in Waco, who was reared in Chilton and attended Chilton schools. Thomas was married second on November 2, 1902 in Falls County to Dora Lane, b October 18, 1878 in Falls County, d October 10, 1954 and buried in Cal- vary Cemetery in Marlin. They were the parents of two sons: Shelton Brusenhan, b ca 1903, d before 1986 - no further information; and Maurice Lee Brusenhan, b ca 1905, who lives in Houston Texas, and married Mary E. Kelly, b ca 1912 at Reagan, Texas - a daughter of Charles and Ellen (Sprott) Kelly, natives of Reagan. Maurice taught school in Falls County, and was elected Tax Assessor and Collector of Falls County. Maurice and Mary were the parents of two sons: Maurice Lee Brusenhan, Jr. - an attorney in Houston, Texas, and Charles Brusenhan - also of Houston. Maurice, Sr. lost his vision several years ago, but manages to make occasional bus trips to Marlin on business, at the age of 81 years.
