John Broughton
John Broughton settled in Cedar Springs in 1895, where he married in 1903 to Pearl Kelley. John lived with the Reed Watkins family prior to his marriage, and did carpenter work and farmed.John and Pearl were the parents of six children:
Taylor Broughton married Zeffie Smith;
Etta MaeBroughton married Bill Kirkpatrick;
Stella Broughton married George Fatheree;
Lenard Broughton married Faye Miles - daughter of John and Pearl (Smith) Miles of Durango;
Kathryn Broughton married Jack Holt;
Francis Broughton married Ida Bowen.
The family resided in the Lott and Cedar Springs Communities, and Lenard's wife, Faye (Miles) Broughton, still resides in Lott.
