Martin Alexander Anding, II (called "Alex"), b September 6, 1871 at Caseyville, Lincoln County, Mississippi, d May 29, 1930 in Falls County, Texas--was the sixth of nine childen of Benjamin Franklin and Mary Margaret (McGee) Anding. The ANding ancestors were natives to Sounth Carolina who immigrated to Mississippi before 1833.

On July 25, 1897 in Falls County, Texas, Alex was married first to Julia Moore Watkins, b January 7, 1873 at Demopolis, Alabama, d February 25, 1906 and buried in Powers Chapel Cemetery--a daughter of Napoleon Bonaparte and Carolina (Moore) Watkins, natives of Marengo County, Alabama, who came to Texas and settled in Falls County.

Alex and Julia lived in Wilderville area of Fallls County, where he was a farmer and rancher. They had four children.

Mary Ray Anding, b May 30, 1898 in Rosebud, d Fberuary 23, 1945 in Denton--married December 20, 19191 to Lewis Edward Keller--a son of Charles Stewart and Margaret Elven (Ture) Keller. They had five children: Charles Ray Keller, died March 4, 1942 in World War II; Louis Edward Keller, Jr.; Peggy Louise (Keller) Bagby; Mary Ruth (keler) Bruner; and John Anding Keller.

Margaret Ernestine Anding, b December 17, 1899 in Rosebud, d April 1979--married August 9, 1920 to Judson Carlos Felder, and they lived at Huntsville, Texas.

Martin Watkins Anding, b May 21, 1902 in Rosebud, d June 8, 1960 in Marlin--married August 22, 1923 to Essie Lula Williams, b November 6, 1903 in Indian Teritory (Oklahoma)--a daughter of Orange Derwood And Margaret (Brown) Williams. Martin operated a filling station on Williams Street in MArlin. They had four children, rearing only one to adulthood: Dorothy Jean Anding, b May 28, 1924 in Rosebud, died young; Margaret FRances Anding, b April 22, 1925, d May 8, 1926; Cora Lynn Anding, b November 8, 1927--married forst Jack Edward Byers and had Susan and Patricia Byers; and married second to Robert Palmer and had Robert Martin Palmer and Namcy Caroline Palmer. The only son of Martin and Essie was William Alexander Anding, b November 5, 1934; Essie (Williams) Anding now resides in Tyler, Texas.

Cornelius Moore Anding, b August 30, 1904--married first on November 1, 1924 to Lela May Williams--a sister of Martin's wife, and they were the parents of three children. He married second to Mrs. Lorene (Barganier) Price.

After the death of Julia Moore (Watkins) anding, Alex was married second on September 22, 1907 to Georgia Theresa Hale, b October 27, 1881, d August 19, 1912. They had two children.

Willie Lee Anding--a daughter b June 18, 1908 in Rosebud, who married first on October 29, 1928 to Hugghlon King, who died January 16, 1947. She married second on September 7, 1948 to Frederick H. Wynne, of Fort Worth, Texas.

George Alexander Anding, b April 30, 1910 in Rosebud. No information.

Alex married third on November 27, 1913 to Cora (Clark) Taylor, b May 26, 1875, d April 19, 1952. She had Curtis, Grace, Georgia, and Henry Taylor by her first marriage to James Joshua Taylor.
