Unknown Kelly |
This is a picture found among Josie Kelly Treadaway’s things. It could
be from the Kelly family, Treadaway, or perhaps the Watkins family. If
anyone could help us identify this family we would appreciate it so
much. And thank you for your help. | Steve & Jolene Scott Hart |
Unknown Woman |
Another picture found among my wife’s grandmothers things.
Grandmother was Josie Kelly Treadaway, married to J.W. Treadaway,
lived in Falls county most of life. Josie Treadaway’s parents were
S.O. Kelly & Josephine Mathews Kelly. The Watkins family was
closely interwoven with these family names. Hope someone
can recognize this lady in the photo. Notice it says J.F. Rush,
Photographer, Rosebud, Texas on the bottom of the photo.
Thanks for your help. | Steve & Jolene Scott Hart |

car that appears to red FORD, on a snowy day - but where and who are they? |
Bowers-Concilio-Stone Collection |

Another picture of the lady with two children and FORD car. One would assume
that a snowy day is not common in their part of the country. |
Bowers-Concilio-Stone Collection |

|
Touring car with (Mica) Isinglass curtains. These curtains were put on when
rain or cold weather threatened - otherwise the occupants were exposed to the
weather. Usually they were stored under the seats until needed. This car,
pride of the family, probably had just been washed inside and out - see bucket
on the running board. Whose car was it? |
Bowers-Concilio-Stone Collection |

looks as if a iron wash kettle might be in foreground heating water for the
wash. See picket fence in background. |

These two men may be real cowboys but the backdrop for the cowboy bar looks
like a backdrop. They are wearing cowboy hats and kerchiefs at their necks.

This lady in Victorian dress is holding what looks like a diploma or
certificate in her hand. She wears a brooch at the collar - and her hair is
pulled back to be caught into a bun at the back of her head. (This picture was
made at W. H. Wiseman, Resident Photographer, Newberry S. C.) This well could
be my great-grandmother Mary Johnson Stone of MS. |
