Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sheffield Funeral and will be held graveside, 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 17th at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas. Pastor Theiss Jones, Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Temple will officiate.

     Bessie was born April 26, 1918 in Marlin, Texas to Hiram S. Swinnea and Anna Pearl (Elder) Swinnea. Bessie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Temple for over 44 years where she served in the nursery and children's departments. She was active in the Sunbeams and Mission Friends for 27 years. Bessie married Roy M. Wright in Austin March 1, 1941.

     Mrs. Wright is preceded in death by her husband, Roy M. Wright, who passed away August 29, 2002 and by one son, Larry Wright, who passed away April 20, 2005. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Linda Wright, a granddaughter, Lisa Wright (19), a grandson, Logan Wright (12), all of Austin; and by three sisters, Evelyn Maxey and Lanona Hopkins, both of Marlin and Virginia Matthews of Denison; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church-Temple, 102 W. Barton Ave., Temple, Texas 76501.

     Friends may visit Sheffield Funeral at their convenience for open visitation Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The family will receive for formal visitation Friday 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
