Joydelle Garrett
Wolfram, 78, of Marlin, passed away on March 20, 2005 at Elmwood Nursing in
Marlin. Funeral services were held at Adams Funeral on Tuesday, March 22, with
Rev. Jimmy Phillips, Rev. Holly Mitchell and Rev. David Thomas officiating. Her
niece, Sarah Elizabeth Garrett, presented Psalm 23. Music was provided by Mrs.
Elyno Walston. Burial followed at Stranger Cemetery.
Joydelle was born July
4, 1926 at Stranger, Falls County, Texas, the sixth of seven children born to
Sanford Quay and Agnes (Mitchell) Garrett. On July 4, 1950, she was married in
Lubbock, Texas, to Bertram Wolfram, Jr., a native of Galveston, Texas and a
geophysicist who died of Hodgkin’s disease on November 12, 1952. They had no
children.
Joydell also was
preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Sanford Quay Garrett, Jr.,
James Odell Garrett, William Henry Garrett, and Thomas Rice Garrett; one sister,
Marian Mitchell (Garrett) Gibbs; two nephews, Daniel Ryan Garrett and William
Mark Garrett; and one niece, Sandra Susan Garrett.
She is survived
by one sister, Margaret Ann (Garrett) Dixon of Mesa, Ariz.; nine nephews; six
nieces; 12 great-nephews; 14 great-nieces; seven great-great nephews; four
great-great nieces; and a special person, Dr. David J. Fedro. Dr. Fedro became
her primary physician when he first established his medical practice in Marlin,
in the County of her birth. While God preserved her life, Dr. Fedro provided
care and understanding which kept her active in life's activities for more than
20 years. Also, deep appreciation and love to Mrs. Ida People, and the late Mrs.
J. Louise Mathews for their kindness, help and love.
Pallbearers were
family members.

to Garrett Cemetery Association, Stranger Cemetery, First Presbyterian Church of
Marlin or the Falls County Historical Museum - in care of Adams Funeral Home,
129 Coleman Street, Marlin, Texas. 76661.
