Died Here Friday
Walter Adolph Wolf, age 54, died at 9:20 a.m. Friday in
a Marlin hospital where he had been a patient for the past nine weeks for
treatment due to illness. He had been a hospital patient in Marlin,
Galveston and Waco most of the time since last July.
Arrangements were made Friday afternoon at the Adams
Funeral for services to
be held at 4 p.m. Saturday from the First Methodist Church in Marlin with Rev.
Calvin Dickinson of Ben Hur and Rev. Chad Murray officiating. Burial in
Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mr. Wolf was born in the Criswell community on November
6, 1905, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Wolf. He engaged in a lifetime of
farming pursuits in that area. His wife was formerly Miss Winnie Simmons
of Big Hill, they were married on May 4, 1933 at Kosse.
He had served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the
Criswell School, and for two years was a member of the Limestone County Advisory
Road Committee, and for 17 years he was a cotton ginner employed at Otto and
Marlin.
He is survived by his widow and one son, W. D. Wolf, and his
mother, Mrs. Willie Wolf, all of Criswell; two sisters, Mrs. Oliver Schreiber
and Mrs. George Simmons of Eddy; a brother, Robert Wolf of Dallas.
