E. R. SCHIERZ DIES IN
MARLIN AFTER STUBBORN FIGHT
After a hard fight
wxtending throughout serveral weeks'illness, E. R. Schierz succumbed to his
afflictions and died Wednesday evening at 6:20 o'clock in this city. He was a
native of German, aged 43, and lived in this county for several years. Some days
ago he contracted pneumonia and it settled in his spine, becoming
pneumonoccoccic meningitis. His friends had been for several days remarking on
the nervy hard fight he was putting up against this affiction and his death was
received with great sorrow.
Sheriff C. H. Plott says of deceased, whom he has known for twenty-three years,
that he was one of those modest, unassuming men of sterling worth, who do not
always get full credit for what they are, but who go to make up the most part of
the world. He was a member of Cego Camp No 1286, W. O. W.
