Stevan K. Stone Funeral Services Held on July 19



     Stevan Kyle Stone of Groesbeck passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007 as the result of heart problems related to renal carcinoma.

     Funeral services were held on Friday, July 20, in the Groesbeck Funeral Chapel with Brother Glenn Easterly and Brother Richard Williams officiating. Burial followed at Criswell Cemetery.

     Stevan was born to Billy Kyle and Alta Stone on July 15, 1952 in Groesbeck. He was employed at M & M Farm Supply as a fertilizer operator. He served in the National Guard Paratroop Division. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He married Janet Dick on February 21, 2003.

     He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Charles and Shirley Stone and A. N. (Buddy) Beaver and a brother, John Allan, who died as a toddler.

     Survivors include his wife Janet Stone and her son Logan of Groesbeck; his two sons, Cody Stone of Fairfield and Kyle Stone and wife Melanie of College Station; granddaughter Haley Stone of Fairfield; parents Billy Kyle and Alta Stone of Groesbeck; three sisters Becky Wilson and husband Mike, Karen Wietzikoski and husband Kenneth, Ellen Stewart, all of Groesbeck; brother Kevin Stone and wife Lesa of Groesbeck; grandmother Lorene Beaver of Groesbeck.  There is a large, loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

     Pallbearers were Leo McGilvray, Mason Masters, Joe Towers, Jimmy Goodrich, Kenneth Ellis and Stanley Lenoir.

     Please make donations in his memory to American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
