GROESBECK -- Marshall Stone, 56, a veteran of World War
II, died Monday at his in the Odds community near Groesbeck.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of
Christ in Marlin, Bennie Lucas officiating. Burial will be at Criswell
Cemetery at Odds.
Mr. Stone was born Sept. 7, 1926, in Falls County.
He was married to Joyce Shehorn in 1949 and they lived in Dallas until moving to
Odds six months ago. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. Charles
Stone Sr. of Odds; a son, Jimmy Stone of Hutchins; three daughters, Mrs. Glenda
Nelms and Mrs. Marsha Rosier, both of Combine, and Mrs. Betty Summers of
Bellmead; five brothers, Charles Stone Jr. and G. Z. Stone, both of Odds, Billy
Kyle Stone of Groesbeck, W. N. Stone of Mexia and Jack Stone of Temple; three
sisters, Mrs. Johnny Ray of Marlin, Mrs. Travis Smith of Mart and Mrs. Blanchard
LeNoir of Lancaster; and seven grandchildren.
