Fred A. Stewart

 

     Fred Arthur Stewart, 99, passed away Monday, June 26, 2006, in a local nursing home.

 

     Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, at Eddy Cemetery with Pastor Rebecca Hull officiating. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, at Harper-Talasek Funeral in Temple, Texas.

 

     Fred was born in Falls County, Texas, to James Arthur and Minnie (Turner) Stewart. He graduated from Eddy High School. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II from 1942 to 1945. Fred worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Floydada, Texas. He was a member of Austin Avenue United Methodist Church in Waco.

 

     He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen Fagg Stewart; four sisters; and three brothers. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Alma Stewart of Waco; brother-in-law, Robert Odell Haddock of Temple; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     Fred Arthur Stewart, 99, of Temple died Monday, June 26, in a Temple nursing home.
