MILDRED (TAWATER) SLOVACEK
October 20, 1925 - November 28, 2005
Mildred
Slovacek, 80, of Rosebud, died Monday, November 28, 2005, at a Temple Hospital.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, in
Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral in Rosebud. Dr. Adrian Coleman and Rev.
Matt Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Rosebud, Falls
Co., Texas.
Mrs. Slovacek
was born October 20, 1925 in Briary, Texas to Carl and Lucy White Tawater. She
lived in the Rosebud, Falls Co., Texas area all of her life. She graduated
salutatorian from Rosebud High School.
She married
Edwin Slovacek September 19, 1941. She worked as an independent insurance agent
and after retirement she worked for the Rosebud-Lott Independent School
District. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rosebud.
She was preceded
in death by her husband and by a son, Jim Ed Slovacek
Survivors
include one daughter, Judy Kay Robison of Rosebud, Texas; one brother, Robert
Carl Tawater of Rosebud, Texas; three grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be
made to the Woodland Cemetery Association.
Visitation will
be held Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
