Kenneth Nutt
March 1, 1941 — April 15, 2004
Memorial
services for Kenneth Nutt, 63, of Bryan are set for 4 p.m. Saturday at First
United Methodist Church in Marlin.
The Revs. Jerry House and Gary Nutt will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hillier Funeral in Bryan. Mr. Nutt died Thursday at his home.
He was born in
Marlin and had lived in Bryan for 10 years. He was retired as vice president of
Wyatt’s Cafeterias and as a salesman for Garlyn Shelton Imports in Temple. He
was a member of First United Methodist Church in Temple.
Mr. Nutt was a
member and past president of the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, vice president of
McAllen Performing Arts, chairman of McAllen Easter Seals telethon and past
president of McAllen Citizen’s League. He was a member of McAllen Rotary Club,
McAllen Lions Club and Houston Lions Club and was named McAllen “Man of the
Year.” He graduated from Marlin High School and attended the University of
Houston.
Survivors
include his wife, Elizabeth Nutt of Bryan; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth
Jr. and Corrisa Nutt of Houston; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kathryn
Anderson of Houston, Kelli and Tom Davis of College Station and Kimberly and
Clyde Cross of Dallas; two brothers, Harlan Nutt and Billy Nutt, both of Marlin;
12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
