Louis was born in Marlin, Texas September 2, 1911. He and his

Pelly went to work at Humble Oil and Refining with the Labor Gang. When Louis
reported for work his supervisor asked him what his name was and he said
Grochoske and the supervisor asked him where he lived and he said Pelly so that
is how he got the name Pelly. He retired from Exxon in 1974 after working for 30
years. He was good at everything he did. Pelly loved meeting people and joined
St. Pauls Lutheran Church when they were meeting in the Community Building at
Exxon in 1947. He was one of the original members. He also was one of the
original members of the Baytown Volunteer Fire Department and retired after
giving 25 plus years of service. He enjoyed working with his hands, doing
plumbing, carpentry work and staying busy.
Louis was
preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Lillie Grochoske; brother: Robert
Grochoske and parents: Paul and Louise Grochoske. He is survived by his two sons
