Evelyn H. Getz
August 14, 1922 - May 5, 2003

     Evelyn H. Getz, born August 14, 1922, in Marlin, Texas, passed away May 5, 2003. Evelyn was married to Howard K. Getz for 51 years, until his death in 1998.

     Evelyn worked for over 20 years in the Azusa Unified School District as a career center administrator. She was highly appreciated by staff and students, some of whom still kept in touch.

     She and Howard retired in 1982 in Oceanside. They bought a motor and traveled allover the United States and Canada. They visited old friends and always made new ones.

     Evelyn is survived by her sister, Helen Erskine of Marlin, Texas; two loving daughters, son-in-law; and four outstanding grandchildren, Janet Bartells of Huntington Beach, Brian and Allison, Danna Atkins of Ramona, husband Tim and Gareth and Erin.

     Evelyn was willing to help anyone in need and never met a stranger. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to have her in their life.

     Private interment services will be held at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Lorna.
