       LeGene Gaylor, 69, of Woodway died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at his residence.  Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at OakCrest Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Wible, associate minister of Highland Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.
       LeGene was born June 29, 1933, in Chilton, the son of Vernon and Helen Hicks Gaylor.  He married Jean Little on Jan. 11, 1958, in Port Lavaca, Texas, and they moved to Waco that year.  LeGene graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor's degree in Journalism.  He was self-employed as an accountant, and was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Waco.  He was an army veteran.  He was preceded in death by his father.
       He is survived by his wife, Jean Gaylor of Woodway; a son, Rod Gaylor and his wife Jennifer of Pompano Beach, Fla., two daughters, Cathy Greggs and her husband Bill of Gladewater, and Kristi Linauer and her husband Matthew of Corvallis, Ore.; three brothers, Keith Gaylor and his wife JoAnn of Chalk Bluff; three sisters, Louise Hughes and her husband Jerry of Waco, Elois Moncus and her husband Louis of Rock Creek, and Judy Grimm and her husband Elden of Chalf Bluff; his mother, Helen Gaylor Lipsey and her husband Cecil of Waco; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
       Pallbearers will be Joe Bob Whitt, Wayne Smith, J. B. Owen, Jack Hendrickson, Don Speed, Charles Nunn, Jerry Stevens, and C. C. Adams.
