Ray L. Elliott
Ray L. Elliott, 57, Rt. 1, Troy, died Friday morning in a Temple hospital of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ of Cego, the Rev. Paul Kluge officiating. Burial will be in Blevins Cemetery.
Mr. Elliott was born in Jack County and had lived in Bell County the past 27 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked as a Civil Service employee for 27 years. He was past president of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of the United Church of Christ of Cego.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pauline Elliott of Troy; his mother, Mrs. J. P. Lindley of Bowie; four sisters, Mrs. Eva Guinn of Graford, Mrs. Bobbie West of Bowie, Mrs. Pencie Holden of Keller and Mrs. Billie Hannon of Fort Worth; two brothers, Elrod Elliott of Fort Worth and Glenn Elliott of Azle; and a number of nieces and nephews. His father, William H. Elliott, died previously.
Pallbearers will be Bill Arndt, Ernest Ebner, Jess Willis, Mr. Elliott and nephews.
The body will be at Hewett Funeral until 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
The family will be at the of Herman Krause, Rt. 1, Troy.
