PNEUMONIA ATTACK

Member of Old Family Passes Away
--Husband Also Stricken With
Same Disease

Succumbing to an attack of pneumonia, Mrs. A. J. Eaves died Thursday night at 10:30 a.m. at a Marlin hospital, where she was taken ten days ago from her near Odds.

A husband, a son and daughter survive.

Mr. Eaves is also ill with pneumonia and is at the tof T. L. Criswell in Marlin.  The children are Lloyd Eaves and Miss Effie Eaves.

Funeral arrangements had not been decided at the hour of going to press.

Mrs. Eaves was from one of the first families to settle in this section, the elder Criswells, whose was at Criswell lake near Odds.

Mrs. Eaves has one brother and two sisters living.  These are T. L. Criswell, Mrs. Geo. Cross and Mrs. J. D. Clewis.

Mrs. Eaves was 56 years of age, being born March 28, 1866, and had resided in this section all of her life.

She was a devout christian and a devoted member of the Locust Grove Baptist church.

The funeral was held at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon with services at the T. L. Criswell on Craik street conducted by Rev. W. O. Wright, Baptist minister of Waco, assisted by Rev. I. H. Willingham of Marlin, interment following at Calvary cemetery.

Pall bearers were Joe Watkins, W. T. Goode, J. E. Jones, Jack Parton, O. A. Edwards, Edward Erskine, Roisclair Shelton, Will Derden and J. C. Holloway.
