DIED.

     A very sad death occurred Thursday afternoon about seven O'clock at, the residence of Mr. J. H. Davis at Mooresville, when the Grim Reaper claimed as a victim Mrs. Lucy DeBardeleben Davis, wife of Mr. Lenton J Davis of Marlin.
     The remains were brought to Marlin and interred in the cemetery, the funeral taking place from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Linthicum at 5 o'clock Friday afternoon. This untimely death is deplored by a large circle of friends.
