John Criswell Dies
The death of John Criswell, brother of W. H. Criswell,
deceased, who was a Mart pioneer, occurred at a sanitarium in Marlin Tuesday,
Feb. 25, resulting from heart trouble. Interment was made in the old
family (Criswell) cemetery near Odds, Thursday afternoon, Rev. J. W. Mayfield of
Mart officiating.
Deceased has been one of the most prominent citizens of
that community for years, his only surviving brother being Whit Criswell of
Marlin.
Their nephew, F. F. Criswell, with his sisters, Mrs. W.
H. Schneider and Mrs. R. D. Strait of Mart, joined them in Marlin Wednesday,
where the bereaved ones had assembled before returning to Odds with the body.
Their many friends are sympathetic.
