MRS. COOLEY at CHILTON

Last Rites Held in Baptist Church
With Burial in Carolina
Cemetery

     Last rites for Mrs. Rebecca Cooley, widow of the late G. W. Cooley, who died suddenly at her in Chilton Friday, were held at three o'clock this afternoon.

     Services were conducted in the Baptist church at Chilton by Dr. W. H. Matthews, Presbyterian pastor of Marlin.  Burial was in Carolina cemetery.

Obituary

       Mrs. G. W. Cooley, age 64, died at her in Chilton, May 29, 1931.  She was born in Bell county, and at the age of six years moved to the Chilton community with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Eakin.  Her husband, G. W. Cooley, died at Chilton, July 31, 1928.
       She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. W. H. Gates, and two sons, Calvin and Roy--all of Chilton; also five grand children, one sister, Miss Amanda Eakin, R.M., J. C., W. S., J.L., S. L. C.C., Eakin, and sixteen nephews and nine nieces.
       Her people were pioneer settlers of the Chilton community and leaders in all movements for the public good.  Also she was a member of the Chilton Baptist church from childhood.
