Vick Contella
April 7, 1936 - September 23, 2007
Vick Contella was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather
and great grandfather.
He passed away on September 23, at his in Reagan.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 26 at 10:30 a.m. at
Adams Funeral Chapel with Reverend Pat Patton officiating. Visitation was at 6
to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25. Burial will be at Hillcrest immediately
following service.
He was born in Eloise, April 7, 1938. He lived in Falls County most of
his life. He retired in January from Falls Community Hospital.
Everyone has a special memory of time spent with Vick. Maybe it was at
work, fishing, working on something, or just him hanging out with him enjoying a
few beers. He loved to BBQ, and visit with family and friends every September on
his and Toni's anniversary, and his Dad's birthday. He was one of a kind and he
took a piece of a lot of hearts with him. He will be missed by so many.
He was preceded in death by: his newborn son, Vicky Ray; mother Myrtle
Contella; grandfather and grandmother, Victor and Lena Contella.
He is survived by: his beloved wife of 30 years, Toni Contella; sons
Philip Contella and his partner Denise Vieres of Burleson and Michael Contella
and wife Carol Lea of Hewitt; Jimmy Krumnow, who he loved like a son of
Georgetown; father Pat Contella of Marlin; sister Lena McCann and husband
Kenneth of Highlands; and brother Joe Contella of Marlin.
Other loved ones left behind are: father and mother-in-law, Bruno and
Helen Wiezbicki of Bremond; sister and brother-in-law Verna and Fred Muzyka of
Conroe and their children Charlotte and Franklin; Michalene and Billy Hailey of
Beeville and their children, Michelle, Tricia, and Pam Charlene and Bryan Walker
of Hearne and their children, Victoria and Tommy. Many other relatives and
friends will mourn his passing.
His family very much appreciates Hillcrest Hospice for their wonderful
care and thoughtfulness during these trying months, with special thanks to Glen
Johnson and Pat Patton. Also thanks to Dr. David Fedro for his care and being
there when they needed him.
