Charles Clark
CEGO - Charles Lubin Clark, 87, of Groves, a retired farmer and native of Cego, died Saturday afternoon in a Groves hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Adams Funeral Chapel in Marlin, the Rev. A. A. Bratcher officiating. Burial will be in Waco Memorial Park.
Mr. Clark was born Feb. 4, 1893, in Cego and married the former Rebecca Ellen Turner in November, 1911. They lived in Eddy and Cego all their married life. Mrs. Clark died March 31, 1976.
The couple sang at many functions in the Central Texas area. Mr. Clark was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Eddy.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Merlin (Margaret) Eakin of Groves; two sons, Curtis L. Clark of Houston and Turner Reginald Clark of Clarksville, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Mae McCleary of Kemp and Mrs. Lucille Harris of Jefferson; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family has designated the American Cancer Society for memorials. The family
will be at the funeral from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
