Albert R. (Kat) Carnes 75, of Chilton, died Thursday at a Marlin hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chilton Cemetery, with the
Rev. A.A. Bratcher officiating.
Mr. Carnes was born Aug. 26, 1911, at Lott.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a welder and electrician.
He was a Baptist.
Survivors include one son, Albert D. Carnes of Robinson; one daughter, Catherine
Ruth Gurley of Houston; two brothers, Secrell Carnes of Chilton, and Floyd E.
Carnes of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four sisters, Etha Mae Mortimer of Marlin,
Willie Herrington of Golinda, Nellie Mortimer of Fairfield, and Audrey Carnes of
Chilton; and four grandchildren.
Adams Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
