Funeral Service for Gordon Brunson Held at Criswell
Gordon Brunson, 59, of Marlin, died Saturday morning in Irving after a long illness.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Adams Funeral Chapel in Marlin with Elder Alfred Feldman and Teacher Lynn Love officiating. Burial was in the Criswell Cemetery at Odds.
Mr. Brunson was born in Robertson County, son of Mrs. Edward Brunson and the late Edward Brunson. He had moved to Marlin in 1941 and for the last several years was a route salesman with the Royal Crown Bottling Company of Waco.
He was a member of the Organized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include his wife; two sons Allen Brunson of Marlin and Elvin Brunson of Weatherford; five daughters, Mrs. Nellie Kennedy and Mrs. Vinnie Mayhal, both of Irving, Mrs. Jimmie Townsend and Mrs. Lillie Mae Blann, both of Marlin, and Mrs. Johnnie Weilman of Huntsville; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Eden of Kansas, and Mrs. Mary Walts of Arlington; three brothers, Vernon Brunson and Johnny Brunson both of Weatherford and J. C. Brunson of Fort Worth; 32 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
