MORRIS HANGED AT CORSICANA.

Dallas, Texas, Jan. 31--Thomas Morris, a white blacksmith, who came to Texas from Malvern Ark., was hanged in the Navarro county jail at Corsicana at 12:30 today, for the murder of W. G. Broome, a white carpenter, on June 7, 1900.
Morris was very weak, and could not give attention to newspaper men or others, except spiritual advisers.  He was 50 years old and leaves a widow, but no children.
The hanging was private on third floor of the jail in the presences of thirty persons, including officials and physicians.
Morris killed Broome for robbery.  He crushed his head with an axe while asleep and threw the body in a pond of water, and  and (sic) confiscated his wagon, team. etc.
