MRS. BRESENHAN OF MARLIN
DIES AT AGE OF 51
Mrs. Marye Louise Bresenhan, 51 years old 51 years old, of 301 Craik St in
Marlin. died at 5:25 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, In a Marlin hospital. She bad been
ill and a hospital patient since last Sept. 20.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Adams Funeral Chapel,
with the Rev. Loyd M. Chapman, pastor of the First Baptist Church of this city,
officiting. Burial will be in be in Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be W. H. Byrd, Louis Hoting. Sam Dollahite, Bobby Davison,
Valton Jones,Thad Shaw, District Judge John C. Patterson, C.T.Denard, Thomas
Bartlett. Mike Koukas, Travis Chalmers and Rice Bratton.
Honorary pallbearers w1l1 be Roy Eddins, Bill Shelton, John Chatmas 11, J. C.
Chatmas, Jr., Frank Reed, Robert Sharp, Steele Alexander, <B', Otho Casey, the
doctors and staff of Torbett, Hutchings, Smith Memorial Hospital, Barnes Adams
and J. D. Houston.
Mrs. Bresenhan was born Sept.25, 1914, in the Odds community, a dauthter of
Thomas Leroy (Whit) Criswell and Mary Ctherine Durham CriswlI. She was graduated
from Marlin High School and attended Southwest Texas State College at San
Marcos. She was married to Shelton Bresenhan Feb. 4, 1937, at Marlin. She was a
member of the First Baptist Church and also the Degree of Honor.
She is survived by her husband, one son, Pat Bresenhan of Marlin, a daughter,
Mrs. Walter Cooling of LaPorte, Texas, four sisters, Mrs. John Moore and Mrs.
Jay Saxon, boht of Marlin, Mrs. Clint Erskine of Odds and Mrs. Wyatt Jacobs of
Rising Star. Four brothers preceded her in death.
